Porcelain Inlays & Onlays
What is a Porcelain Inlay and Onlay?
When there is damage or decay in a tooth an inlay or onlay may be recommended. These are conservative tooth restorations which require much less drilling and preparation of the tooth to be placed.
Dental inlays and onlays are made of porcelain and can be completed in one visit with our 3D scanner.
The Process is Simple
- The old filling is removed along with any additional decay
- The tooth is reshaped, and an impression is made
- A conditioning gel is placed on your tooth to prepare it for the new restoration
- Bonding agents are placed on the tooth and a high intensity light bonds the resin to the tooth
- The tooth is then polished
